The General Directorate of Security and Safety at IMSIU organized emergency evacuation drills on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Educational Building (324), aiming to enhance preparedness and safety readiness across university facilities.
The drills were held in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the University Medical Center, and attended by Dr. Hayat M. Al-Subyani, Vice President of the College of Fundamentals of Religion and Da'wah, Ms. Fawzia A. Al-Buhairey, Head of Safety at King Abdullah City for Female Students, along with faculty and staff members from the College of Fundamentals of Religion and Da'wah, the College of Computer Sciences, and the General Directorate of Security and Safety, as well as a number of IMSIU students.
During the drill, participants including faculty, staff, and students were trained on applying safe evacuation procedures according to approved plans and moving in an orderly manner to designated assembly points under the direct supervision of university security teams and Civil Defense officers. The drills aimed to ensure rapid response, proper handling of emergencies, and the safety of all individuals on campus through the coordination and integration of efforts among participating entities.
Mr. Sultan H. Al-Buqmi, Head of the General Directorate of Security and Safety, stated that these drills are part of IMSIU's regular training program designed to enhance readiness and preparedness to address potential risks. He emphasized that field training plays a vital role in strengthening the culture of safety, promoting preventive awareness, and fostering a secure and stable educational environment.
Through these efforts, IMSIU reaffirms its commitment to continuously developing its security and safety systems, strengthening partnerships with relevant agencies, and aligning its initiatives with the goals of sustainable development, quality of life enhancement, and ensuring a safe and effective educational environment.
