Under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, the University concluded the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program 2026 and its accompanying exhibition on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Grand Hall of the Conference Building in King Abdullah City for Female Students. The program was organized in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The ceremony began with the Saudi national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. On behalf of the University President, Prof. Lamia H. Alaqeel, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, delivered his address, conveying his greetings and pride in the program's success. She emphasized that the partnership between the University and Mawhiba represents a successful national model for identifying and nurturing gifted students. She also noted that investing in giftedness is an investment in human capital and directly supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by preparing a generation capable of innovation, excellence, and global competitiveness.
Dr. Eman A. Aba Hussain, Vice Director of the Program, then delivered the Program Administration's address, expressing her pride in the program's achievements over its three-week duration. She noted that the program benefited 123 female students and produced outstanding educational outcomes. She added that the experience provided participants with rich academic and enrichment opportunities that enhanced their skills and developed their talents. Dr. Aba Hussain also expressed her appreciation for the continued support of the University President, the partnership with Mawhiba, and the dedicated efforts of all participating entities and individuals who contributed to the program's success.
The ceremony also featured an introductory presentation on Mawhiba, followed by a showcase of the participants' achievements across the program's five academic tracks. The presentation highlighted a range of projects, scientific experiments, and research outputs completed during the program, reflecting the students' creativity, excellence, and the knowledge and skills they gained.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the participating students and members of the academic and executive teams in recognition of their contributions to the program's success. The program provided a distinguished scientific and enrichment experience that strengthened participants' skills, nurtured their talents, and enhanced their capabilities across a range of scientific disciplines.
