IMSIU, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with the Speech and Language Disorders Association (Notq). The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in academic, research, and training fields, facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and develop high-impact initiatives and programs that support and empower individuals with speech and language disorders while advancing the strategic objectives of both parties.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the University by Dr. Abdulrahman M. Al-Kharashi, Dean of Student Affairs, while the Association was represented by Ms. Sawsan A. Al-Humaidan, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
The memorandum seeks to establish an effective partnership in scientific research, training, and consultancy, while enhancing collaboration in developing programs and services tailored to individuals with speech and language disorders. It also aims to foster a more inclusive and supportive educational environment and improve the quality of services provided to this group.
Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on implementing joint research projects, scientific studies, and other initiatives of mutual interest. They will also organize conferences, forums, seminars, workshops, and training programs, in addition to exchanging knowledge resources, scientific content, and digital educational materials. The partnership further provides for the exchange of academic, scientific, technical, and consultancy expertise to enhance the quality of outcomes and strengthen institutional collaboration.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in developing specialized initiatives and programs delivered by the University's Center for Services for Persons with Disabilities. In addition, the Association will provide training, rehabilitation, and consultation sessions for male and female students with speech and language disorders referred by the Center, subject to the capabilities of both parties. The agreement also supports the professional development of faculty members and University staff through the exchange of best practices in planning and institutional excellence.
