Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with the Prince Saud Al‑Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, with the aim of strengthening joint collaboration in academic, training, and research fields, and developing national competencies in diplomacy and international relations.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, while Dr. Mushebb A. Al-Qahtani, Director of the Office of the Institute's Director General, represented the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement seeks to develop and introduce modern approaches for training specialists in foreign policy, international relations, international law, international economics, and political science. It also aims to enhance cooperation in education and research methodologies, and to exchange expertise in foreign language education, contributing to improving the quality of educational and training outcomes.
In addition, the agreement includes the implementation of joint foundational and specialized training programs to develop diplomatic skills, the conduct of collaborative scientific research, and the exchange of publications, expertise, and academic resources. It also provides for mutual invitations of specialists to participate in workshops, seminars, and relevant scientific conferences.
Areas of cooperation further include exchanging expertise in library organization and the management of educational institutions, encouraging joint meetings with the participation of officials and representatives of diplomatic missions, and offering specialized training programs to prepare delegates for work in the University's branches outside the Kingdom.
The agreement also contributes to activating student participation in joint programs and initiatives, and enhancing opportunities for cooperative training and student exchange, supporting the preparation of qualified national cadres capable of competing in diplomatic and international fields.
This agreement aligns with the University's commitment to building strategic partnerships with government entities, strengthening institutional integration, and contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the development of human capital in priority sectors.
