Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by the Vice Presidency for Institutional Development and Community Responsibility, signed on the evening of Tuesday, December 30, 2025, program accreditation contracts for ten academic programs with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation. The signing took place as part of the ceremony marking the accreditation of the first cohort of the University's academic programs.
The University was represented at the signing by Dr. Kholood F. Al-Tamimi, Vice President for Institutional Development and Community Responsibility, while the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation was represented by its Executive Director, Prof. Mohammed K. Bashmakh.
The programs covered by the accreditation process include PhD programs in Sociology, English Literature, and History and Civilization; Master's programs in Sociology, English Literature, History and Civilization, Social Work, Science in Accounting, and the Qur'an and Its Sciences; in addition to a Bachelor's program in History and Civilization.
These accreditations aim to assess the extent to which the programs meet the requirements for program-level academic accreditation in accordance with the standards approved by the National Center, thereby contributing to the enhancement of academic program quality and the alignment of learning outcomes with labor market needs.
The signing of these contracts reflects the University's commitment to strengthening the quality of its academic offerings and advancing institutional performance in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 for the development of the higher education system and the building of a competitive, knowledge-based society. It also underscores the depth of institutional integration and collaborative efforts across the University in achieving this significant milestone.
