 Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) Signs a Cooperation Agreement with Ministry of Health in the Fields of Health Research and Innovation

      On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Health, represented by the Agency for Planning and Transformation. The agreement aims to develop health research, promote innovation, build national competencies in health specialties, and support the exchange of knowledge as well as expertise between the two parties.

     The University was represented in the signing ceremony by Prof. Salem A. Al-Yami, Dean of Scientific Research, while the Ministry of Health was represented by Dr. Mohammed S. Al-Dosari, Director General of the General Administration of Research and Studies.

     This memorandum aims to direct scientific research to meet national health needs and research priorities, benefit from the expertise of faculty members, and establish joint research teams. It also includes collaboration on training courses, workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs in mutually relevant areas.

    The areas of cooperation further include the exchange of expertise, scientific publications, health information and data, also integration on electronic platforms in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Additionally, it aims to utilize available resources to enable scientific research for both parties and contribute to fostering a culture of innovation and talent development in various health fields.

     This agreement comes as part of the university's efforts to expand its strategic partnerships with national entities and support research pathways, as well as to develop programs and projects related to the health sector, in alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives of enhancing quality of life and healthcare services.
