The Deanship of Student Affairs organized the (Bader) exhibition for the prevention of the risks of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, inaugurated the (Bader) exhibition which aim at raising awareness about the risks of narcotics and psychotropic substances. The exhibition was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in partnership with 27 governmental and private bodies, as well as charitable associations, in addition to the student clubs at the University. It took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 26-27 of December, 2023 in the University main lobby.
The exhibition aims to educate male and female students about the harms, types, and effects of drugs, ways to prevent them, and methods of treatment, as well as to highlight the role of the family and society in raising awareness about the importance of preventive action.
Several government entities participated in the exhibition, including the Health Affairs of the Ministry of National Guard, the National Committee for Narcotics Control at the Ministry of Health, in addition to charitable societies such as: Eradah Complex for Mental Health in Riyadh, Reef Charity, Ishraqa Society, Ru'ya Association, Waey Association for Community Health, Care and External Rehabilitation Center, Youth Association for Self-Development (Gader), the National Project for Narcotics Prevention (Nebras), the Preventive Awareness Association for Youth (Shamkh), Reapp for Rehabilitation, Ministry of Health Gates, Smo Alfker Center for Family Counseling, the University Medical Center, the General Department of Safety and Security at the University along with student clubs at the University including Wa'e Club, the Media Club, the Theater Club, Ejad Club, Ena'yah Club, the Law Club, Azm Club, the Psychology Club, the Sociology and Social Work Department Club, and the Student Fund.
The exhibition included accompanying events such as meetings with experts, offering various consultations, distributing guidance publications in the fields of treatment, awareness, rehabilitation, and health education, and presenting lectures and educational courses about the risks of drugs on individuals and society, as well as entertainment activities and prizes for attendees.
