Under the patronage of H.E. the Rector of the University, Prof. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, the College of Media and Communication at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University will take the initiative to honor the first Saudi Minister of Information, H. E. Sheikh Jamil Ibrahim Al-Hujailan, on Wednesday, November 29, 2013, at one o'clock in the afternoon in Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri Hall in the Conference Building in the university campus in Riyadh.
According to H.H. Prince Prof. Saad bin Saud Al Saud, Dean of the College of Media and Communication, the initiative includes a visual presentation with H.E. Sheikh Jamil Al-Hujailan in which he reviewed the most significant milestones in his life, particularly those related to the media, as well as honorary remarks. The ceremony will include a symposium at which both His Excellency, the Minister of Information, Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, and the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Jazirah Newspaper and the Chairman of Saudi Journalists Association, Mr. Khaled Al-Malik, will talk. A book documenting H.E. Sheikh Al-Hujailan's journey will also be issued. His Highness said, "A number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and dignitaries, as well as media, intellectual, cultural, and literary figures, and the diplomatic corps in the Kingdom, will attend the honoring ceremony."
