The Skills Development Center of the University Vice Rectorate for Institutional Development and Community Engagement at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University organized 12 unique training courses during October 2023 AD. Among these were two courses in handling workplace disputes and the fundamentals of information security for administrative staff, from which 994 male and female trainees benefited. The center also implemented eleven courses aimed at university faculty members and those of the like, with 1,434 male and female trainees benefiting from them.
These courses are part of achieving the ambitious vision's goals, as well as an extension of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University's eagerness and interest in advancing knowledge, advancing the educational process and its quality, and improving the academic and administrative performance of its employees.
"The center is keen to reflect its mission and vision and carry out its role and tasks assigned to it to develop the various skills of university employees and develop them in all fields that include teaching and learning, scientific research, academic and administrative leadership, information technology, and other skills that contribute to achieving regional and global leadership and excellence," said Dr. Mohammad bin Nidaa Al-Anezi, the center's head.
"Courses are varied according to educational needs in several areas, including building the specification table for achievement tests, the fundamentals of communication-oriented educational discourse, risk and emergency management and business continuity, targeted scientific research, the use of soft skills in the educational process, information security fundamentals, methodology for preparing test questions, digital transformation, and the mechanism for measuring the learning outcomes in Blackboard," Dr. Al-Anezi added.
Dr. Mohammad bin Nidaa Al-Anezi, the center's head, stated that these courses are part of a continuous series of specific programs and courses offered by the center and stem from the center's belief in the importance of training and development within its vision, goals, and mission to contribute to the development of the university environment and achieve the university's goals and strategic plan (2021-2025).
Dr. Al-Anezi stated that these programs and courses are held with the support, guidance, and interest of H.E. the Rector of the University, Prof. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, as well as the University Vice Rector for Institutional Development and Community Engagement, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Shadi, who provides continuous follow-up. Dr. AlAnezi expressed gratitude to H.E. the Rector and the University Vice Rector for their support, care, and interest in the center's success.
