Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, and in the presence of the President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Prof. Ahmed S. Al-Ameri, the university concluded the activities of the Career Week on Thursday, May 23, 2023. The event was organized by the university in collaboration with Riyadh Chamber and in partnership with 41 sectors, lasting for four consecutive days in the main lobby of the university campus. The event aimed to help graduates secure job opportunities that match their specializations and facilitate their communication with companies and institutions operating in the Saudi job market. It also aimed to educate them on effective job search techniques, how to prepare resumes, conduct personal interviews, and provide an opportunity for participating entities to showcase available job and training opportunities, as well as introduce their activities and contributions to the national economy. Additionally, it sought to activate cooperative training programs and build local partnerships between the university and governmental and private entities in the fields of employment and training, thereby increasing the employment rate among the university’s graduates.
The participating entities, which provided approximately 2500 job opportunities across all academic specializations of the university, included 8 courses, workshops, 8 group consultations, and 8 individual consultations. It also introduced professional certifications and professional registration for health, psychological, and social specializations, and the Saudi Board for health specializations from the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf).
Participants and visitors of the exhibition also expressed their happiness and satisfaction with the events, noting how they benefited from the opportunity to experience real work environments in various sectors, explore many potential career paths, shape their professional interests, and make informed decisions regarding their future careers
