Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in partnership with the Sports Affairs Administration and supported by the Student Fund, organized a series of sports activities on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at King Abdullah City for Female Students, as part of the “Tanaffas 4 (Breathe 4)” program aimed at enhancing the quality of university life. The event will continue for two days and witnessed wide participation from female students in an engaging and motivating competitive atmosphere.
The activities included an inter-college 100-meter sprint race, cycling activities, golf, an introductory dodgeball program in cooperation with the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, and a “Try Rugby” program in collaboration with the Saudi Rugby Federation. These activities contributed to diversifying the sports experience and providing students with opportunities to practice a variety of sports disciplines.
The event was attended by Dr. Khulood F. Al-Tamimi, Vice President for Institutional Development and Community Responsibility, and Dr. Ahood bint Othman Al-Munie, Vice Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, along with a number of university staff members. The attendees reviewed the activities and emphasized the importance of such programs in supporting students’ health and encouraging their participation in extracurricular activities.
The event aims to activate female sports activities and enhance student engagement in extracurricular programs, contributing to the development of physical fitness and motor skills, promoting concepts of activity and vitality, and fostering a spirit of positive competition among students.
This initiative forms part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to diversify sports programs and activities and to create a supportive and motivating university environment that helps achieve balance between academic pursuits and accompanying activities, thereby enhancing the overall quality of university life.
