 Under the patronage of the Governor of Riyadh IMSIU honored the winners of the Award of Excellence, in its third edition (2025).

​​     ​The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah A. Al-Shadi, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of University Affairs; Dr. Bandar A. Al-Khiyal, Director General of Programmatic and International Accreditation at the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC); in addition to a number of vice presidents, deans, and University affiliates. The event was held at the Exhibition Hall of the Conference Building on campus.

 

     The ceremony began with the Saudi National Anthem, followed by recitation from the Holy Qur'an. Attendees then viewed a documentary film introducing the IMSIU Award of Excellence, after which Dr. Khulood F. Al-Tamimi, Vice President for Institutional Development and Community Responsibility, delivered her remarks.

 

     Dr. Al-Tamimi affirmed that the Award represents a clear model of the University's commitment to advancing its institutional performance and strengthening its academic and societal impact. She emphasized that the Award is not merely a form of recognition, but rather a strategic initiative aimed at fostering a culture of quality and innovation and motivating University affiliates to excel across all fields.

 

     She added that the University believes the true investment lies in people, and that fair and continuous recognition is among the strongest drivers of development. She noted that the Award encompasses all its branches and categories, reaching the entire University community—both individuals and units—thereby reflecting a comprehensive vision of excellence and ensuring fairness and equal opportunity.

 

     Dr. Al-Tamimi also commended the efforts of faculty members, administrators, researchers, and students, affirming that excellence in education, research, and innovation reflects the University's commitment to enhancing institutional performance, strengthening competitiveness, and creating tangible societal impact.

 

     She concluded her speech by congratulating the male and female award recipients, praying that the impact of their excellence would extend benefit to themselves and others, and expressing her appreciation to the Award committees, the Award Secretariat, and all University affiliates who contributed to the success of the Award.

 

     Following this, H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of the University, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the Award represents one of the University's key commitments toward meeting development requirements, keeping pace with evolving challenges, and aligning with the nation's ongoing transformation. He highlighted the University's role in building specialized scientific competencies, producing high-quality research aligned with developmental and societal priorities, enhancing organizational and administrative efficiency, and establishing an academic methodology that lays the foundation for a promising future in service of religion, leadership, and the country.

 

     His Excellency added that, stemming from the University's strategic plan and its commitment to supporting excellence across all domains and levels, sustaining continuous institutional development, embedding a culture of institutional excellence, and encouraging administrative creativity, the Award was launched to promote positive institutional culture, create competitive opportunities, support excellence among University affiliates and academic units, and highlight distinguished institutional practices and leading models of academic and administrative performance, thereby strengthening the University's presence in global competitiveness indicators.

 

     He commended the commitment and positive engagement of the University's entities and affiliates—including faculty members, administrators, researchers, and students—in pursuing excellence and competing for the Award. He congratulated the male and female winners, affirming that this recognition reflects an integrated institutional approach through which the University aligns academic excellence with administrative efficiency, opens new horizons for achievement, enhances institutional and programmatic performance, improves the work environment, and elevates the quality of services provided to the local and global community.

 

     The President concluded his speech by expressing his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—may Allah protect him—for his unwavering support of education and investment in human potential, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may Allah protect him—for his continued support and leadership in advancing national development, improving quality of life, and promoting the well-being of citizens.

 

     The ceremony concluded with the announcement of the results and the honoring of winners across all Award categories.​​​
