Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), represented by the College of Science, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with the Professional Association of Statisticians and Data Scientists, as part of its efforts to strengthen specialized professional partnerships and support the fields of statistics and data science.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the University by the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Ibrahim A. Al-Dail, while the Association was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdullah M. Al-Suwaid.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the areas of statistics, data science, and applied research; support cooperative training programs and capacity building; and promote the exchange of scientific and professional expertise. This collaboration seeks to align academic outcomes with labor market needs and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing national competencies.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in organizing workshops, forums, and specialized events, as well as developing high-impact initiatives in statistical analysis, decision-making, and digital transformation. In addition, it supports joint professional initiatives that contribute to advancing professional practice standards.
This memorandum comes as part of the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with specialized professional organizations, link academic programs with practical applications, and provide training and development opportunities that enhance the readiness of students and graduates, while supporting a sustainable institutional development ecosystem.
