​     Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by the College of Education and in cooperation with the Human Rights Commission, organized a scientific forum on Monday, 22/12/2025, in the Grand Hall of the Conference Building at King Abdullah City for Female Students, titled “Human Rights in the Educational Process: Toward Fair and Inclusive Education." The forum was delivered by Dr. Sarah A. Al-Faisal, a member of the Human Rights Commission, in celebration of the International Human Rights Day.

     The forum aimed to strengthen institutional partnership between the University and the Human Rights Commission, support awareness, and educational efforts, and reinforce the role of education as a fundamental pillar for comprehensive development, human capacity building, and the achievement of social justice.

     The forum addressed the foundations of the concept of human rights, its origins and development, with a focus on the right to education as one of the fundamental rights guaranteed by international conventions and agreements, given its pivotal role in empowering individuals and building societies. It also reviewed the legal and regulatory frameworks supporting this right, highlighted relevant international instruments, and discussed their implications for contemporary educational policies.

     The forum also shed light on the national efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to promote the right to education, ensure the principle of equal educational opportunities, and provide a fair and equitable learning environment, through developing educational systems, expanding access, and supporting beneficiary groups, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

     In addition, the forum discussed the concept of fair and inclusive education, its educational and social dimensions, and its role in reinforcing the values of justice and equality, respect for diversity, consideration of individual differences, and empowering learners to access equal educational opportunities. This, in turn, enhances their positive integration into society and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

     The forum further addressed the role of educational institutions in promoting a culture of human rights, the importance of integrating concepts of rights and duties into curricula, enhancing human rights awareness among male and female students, and building a generation that is aware of its rights and responsibilities and capable of making effective contributions to serving the nation and society.

     The organization of this forum underscores the University's commitment to contributing to the dissemination of human rights awareness, strengthening the role of educational institutions in embedding human rights values, and supporting the principles of justice and equal opportunity through scientific programs and events that help build a knowledgeable and aware society.​
