​The College of Languages and Translation and the General Directorate of International Cooperation and Communication at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University discussed ways of mutual collaboration with American universities and institutes. This discussion took place with the American Cultural Attaché in Saudi Arabia, Davida McDonald, and her accompanying delegation, who recently visited the university.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Languages and Translation, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rashed, the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sami Al-Rusaini, the Department Head, Dr. Mansour Al-Ammar, and the Director of the General Directorate of International Cooperation and Communication, Dr. Mohammed N. Al-Yamani, along with the International Partnerships team. Also present were Deputy Cultural Attaché Anna Storie, Regional English Language Officer Kim Shelmonik, English Language Programs Officer Sara Al-Saktaawi, and Cultural Programs Specialist Maryam Issa.

During the meeting, opportunities for training in English language programs, knowledge development, and scientific output in the field were discussed, as well as support for students and faculty members in this area.

The meeting also addressed the joint supervision program for graduate students, the assistant teacher program, and the professional training program for English language educators. Additionally, possibilities for training students in translation,  college teacher assistants and lecturers in applying for study opportunities in American universities, and the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program for professional development were discussed.
