Students from the Department of Accounting at the College of Business, IMSIU, achieved distinguished results at the second edition of the Accounting Innovation Forum, organized by the Saudi Center for Financial Audit and Performance Control under the General Court of Audit. Through their participation in joint teams, the students achieved first place in the Data track, earned first place in the Research track, and earned second place in the Solutions track.
As one of the most prominent national competitions in the accounting field, the forum focused on applied innovation and practical solutions to real-world challenges in the profession. It featured specialized competitive tracks that blended academic knowledge with real-life application, promoting skills such as analytical thinking, innovation, and the use of modern technologies and AI in accounting.
Among the notable achievements, IMSIU student Razan Al-Khudairi participated as part of a joint team in the Data track, where the team achieved first place. IMSIU student Alanoud Al-Ahmari also participated in a joint team in the Studies track, earning first place.
In addition, IMSIU students Shomoukh Al-Mutairi, Layan Al-Omair, Abdulrahman Al-Meshari, and Abdulaziz Al-Sand represented the University in a joint team in the Data track, which focuses on accounting data analysis and predictive modeling using modern technologies, earning second place.
IMSIU student Maha Al-Otaibi also represented the University in a joint team in the Solutions track, which emphasizes presenting innovative and practical solutions to real-world challenges in the accounting profession. The team earned second place in the same track.
These accomplishments highlight the quality of education and training provided by the College of Business and its ability to produce highly skilled and innovative students capable of delivering impactful solutions to advance the accounting profession. The results also align with national goals for professional development and digital transformation within the financial sector.
