 The Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia receives His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University

​President Ahmed S. Alameri of Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Mr. Faisal A. Alamudi, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Indonesia, during their visit on Monday, May 13, 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to express gratitude and appreciation to the staff of the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Indonesia, which operates under the supervision of Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University. Ambassador Alamudi lauded the institute's vital role within the Indonesian community and commended its 40-year history of producing exceptional leaders. He emphasized the importance of adapting and evolving in response to the significant changes taking place in Saudi Arabia across various sectors.


President Alameri expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Alamudi, recognizing the efforts of the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the unwavering support extended to the institute. He emphasized that the institute's noble mission is firmly grounded in the values and principles of Islamic Sharia, promoting a creed based on moderation and tolerance while imparting knowledge to its students. He praised the institute's educational services and their significant impact on the Indonesian people. He attributed these achievements to the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. President Alameri expressed pride in the institute's more than 21,000 graduates, who occupy various positions in the state and hold the Kingdom and its people in high regard. He credited the competence of the institute's staff and leadership in effectively utilizing available resources to enhance the educational process. He reiterated their commitment to serving their fellow brothers in all Arab and Islamic nations.


At the conclusion of the visit, President Alameri presented Ambassador Faisal Alamudi with a commemorative gift, symbolizing the collaborative efforts between the institute and the embassy in fulfilling the directives of the leadership and maintaining the institute's presence across all its branches in the Republic of Indonesia.


The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Prof. Khalid A. Al-Busair, the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Human Resources; Dr. Walid A. Al-Jasser, the Representative of the University's Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs; Dr. Walid A. Alothman, the Dean of the Institute; Dr. Omar H. Alsuwaidan, the Vice Dean; Dr. Mohammed F. Alnofal, the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs; Dr. Anas M. Alshaiban, the Head of the Administrative and Financial Sciences Department; Dr. Suleiman Z. Alenezi, the Head of the Sharia Department; Dr. Mohammed N. Alghanem, the Head of the Arabic Language Department; Dr. Saleh M. Aljadani, the Head of the Language Preparation Department; and Dr. Saleh Z. Alenezi, the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Media and Communication.
