 His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University visited the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Sciences in Indonesia, and reviewed the process of learning and met with the staff of the institute.

​On Monday, May 14th, 2024, Prof. Ahmed S. Alameri, the President of Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), along with his accompanying delegation, visited the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Upon their arrival, they were warmly received by Dr. Walid A. Alothman, the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Omar H. Alsuwaidan, the Vice Dean, Dr. Mohammed F. Alnofal, the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Anas M. Alshaiban, the Head of the Administrative and Financial Sciences Department, Dr. Suleiman Z. Alenezi, the Head of the Sharia Department, Dr. Mohammed N. Alghanem, the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Saleh M. Aljadani, and several other staff members of the institute.


During the visit, President Alameri held a meeting with the institute's academic and administrative staff. The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech by Dr. Alothman, who expressed his gratitude for the President's visit and the presence of the accompanying delegation. He emphasized that this visit demonstrates the President's commitment to overseeing all aspects and supporting the progress of the institute. Dr. Alothman highlighted the significant support and empowerment provided by President Alameri, particularly in response to the high demand and interest among Indonesian citizens to enroll in the institute. He also acknowledged the President's continuous guidance and follow-up, as well as the support from Prof. Fahad S. Alluhaidan, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, reaffirming that the institute is on the right path due to this support and empowerment.


President Alameri expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Alothman and all the institute's staff, commending their achievements. He emphasized that the educational process carries profound meaning and that having qualified and professionally trained faculty members is crucial for the institute's mission of teaching Arabic, Sharia sciences, and humanities to the Indonesian people. President Alameri noted the deep commitment of the Saudi government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Head of State Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to teach the correct creed, promote moderation, and disseminate Arabic and Sharia sciences in their authentic forms. The President stressed that all institute staff are aware of the significant responsibility they bear, representing the Kingdom and its people through their teaching, conduct, and the values exemplified by Saudi society. He mentioned that the institute aims to serve the Indonesian people, enabling them to serve their country and community as ambassadors of the institute, showcasing exemplary knowledge, moderation, and noble values and ethics.


Addressing the institute staff, President Alameri urged them to be excellent role models and to treat the students with kindness, expressing his gratitude for the well-organized meeting. He then listened to various inputs, appreciating their constant concern and precise follow-up on the institute's work and achievements.


After the meeting, President Alameri and his delegation toured the institute's facilities, including classrooms and academic departments, while listening to feedback from students who praised the care and attention they received from the institute's staff. At the end of the visit, President Alameri honored those whose contracts and assignments at the institute had ended, thanking them for their contributions to Arabic, Sharia, and administrative sciences, which significantly impacted the institute's academic performance.


Accompanying President Alameri on the tour were Prof. Khalid A. Al-Busair, the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Human Resources, Dr. Walid A. Aljasser, the Representative of the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, and Dr. Saleh Z. Alenezi, the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Media and Communication.
