Lastly, Prof. Dr. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Askr, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Higher Studies and Academic Research, and who doubles as Chairman of Unit of Science and Technology, has signed four agreements of mega research projects within the twelve batch and third of the strategic programs of the national plan of science and technology and innovation.
In statements after the signature event, Dr. Al-Askr pointed out that, the five millions-signed agreements would interpolate the previous agreements that totaled 32 researches with a budget of 50 million Saudi riyals. "Unit of Science and Technology, one of the biggest unit in the counterpart universities, aims to contribute to relocate and Suadize different technologies of Al-Imam University throughout its applied colleges that proved its excellence research", added he.
From his part, Dr. Khaled Al-Shelfan, Manager of Unit of Science and Technology, praised the signed batch of agreements, which he considered as comprehensive and integrated. He clarified that, the first research project in the medical science filed has signed with College of Medicine, in addition to another projects on environmental techniques, physical sciences, and mathematical sciences.
He appreciated the staunch efforts of H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, in supporting and ironing the obstacles that facing the unit progress. He, as well, thanked Dr. Al-Askr for his follow-up and leadership.
