​Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Council has winded-up recently its eighth regular meeting, which has chaired by Dr. Fawzan Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam University, in presence of Dr. Muhammad Al-Saleh, General Secretary of Higher Education Council, and all administrative dignitaries of the university.  

On the agenda of the meeting, the council’s members have adopted a number of decisions. In regard of students’ affairs, one postgraduate student has re-admitted, and the student activities’ plan of 1436-1437 H has been approve. In respect of faculty members, Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Saeed has nominated for the membership of the council of Fundamentals of Religion College, Dr. Saleh Al-Osaiemi has nominated for the membership of the council of Arabic Language Teaching Institute, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sheikh has nominated as a representative of Sharia College for the university academic council, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Motwa’ has nominated for the membership of higher studies council as a representative of Social Science College. As well, three faculty members were renewed their contracts, and five faulty members were gave sabbatical leave, and more six faculty members were gave sabbatical leave to study a foreign language. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Hamid and Dr. Mansour Al-Haidary had seconding to work outside the university, and Dr. Abdullah Moquail has relocated to Ministry of Social Affairs, and two faculty members were approved their early retirement requests.

In terms of the academical affairs, the council’s members have approved to raise the required experience years of non-Saudis faculty members at Faculty of Medicine to 15 years, and academic plan of undergraduate, postgraduate levels of College of Media and Communication has validated. As well, the organizing regulations of sabbatical leave has ratified in addition to the special rules of excellence incentivises of world publishing aspects.

At last, in terms of the financial and administrative points of the university, the project of the university calendar academic year of 1436-1437 H, and the closing account of the university as of 1435-1436 H, and the book-donation of Dr. Abdullah Al-Sultan to the university library have approved unanimously. Furthermore, the university council has delegated his authorities to H.E. Saudi Minister of Education during the summer vacation of the university academic year of 1435-1436 H.
