 Al-Imam University honoured at .Gov Saudi Awards

​Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, representing by Deanship of Information Technology, has ranked first as the government IT Department of the year in the awards presented by ITP Technology .Gov Awards, which established to highlight the world leading progress that governments across the region have made in the field of smart government, and the use of information technology to drive progress and improve lives.

Dr. Waleed Abdulaziz Al-Jandal, Dean of Deanship of Information Technology, have received the award during the ceremony held at Prince Sultan Hall – al- Faisaliah Hotel – Riyadh.

In the gained award details, which is one of the 15 categories that are only open to government entities from Saudi Arabia, have recognised the outstanding work that has been conducted by Al-Imam University in the past 12 months, in emerging fields such as online services, smart government and implementing high standards of security and solutions. Additionally, the award build on the success of the Deanship of Information Technology in facilitating the availability of online services.

In statements after receiving the award, Dr. Al-Jandal has said that, it comes in line with the achievements accomplished by his administration in particular and the university as general. It reflects the deliverables that resulted in future plans, which will be unleashing on the coming days. “Deanship of Information Technology have exerted a focused efforts in completing its IT infrastructures and paving the ways for more creative online services and solutions”, added he.

Concluding his words, Dr. Al-Jandal has valued the efforts been exerted by all members of his administration, which resulted in achieving such a spectacular achievement.
