 Dialogue Meeting on GCC Higher Education Regulations Started

​Prof. Dr. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Asker, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Higher Studies and Academic Research, has inaugurated on the last Tuesday the dialogue meeting on enforcing regulations of higher education in Gulf Cooperation Countries, which held in line with the 21st meeting of heads of GCC Universities and Education Institutions.

Welcoming the guests, Dr. Al-Asker has, at first, convoyed to them the greetings of Dr. Fawzan Al-Fawzan, Acting-Rector of Al-Imam University, and the happiness of the university to host such a meeting. He clarified that, the target of the meeting is to work in strengthening the contributions of higher education in GCC, and to submit a proposal to put the current regulations into force, and to propose a modification to what is necessary from rules and regulations to promote students’ transfer and faculty staffs’ exchange.

Continued his words, Dr. Al-Asker has stated that, the final report and recommendations of the meeting will pass to the 21st meeting of heads of GCC Universities and Education Institutions, which will be host by Al-Imam University on next October 2015.

In similar vein, Dr. Abdullah Al-Meshal from the General Secretariat of Gulf Cooperation Countries Council has thanked Al-Imam University for hospitality and welcome.

It worth to mention that, the agenda of the meeting has continued with two sessions on the regulations of transferring students in GCC universities, and on the regulations of exchanging faculty staffs in GC universities.
