H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has inaugurated on the last days, in the presence of Prof. Francisco Oobertana, Director of University of Bologna, and Ambassador Dr. Rayed Krimly, Saudi Ambassador to Italy and Malta, King Abdulaziz Research Chair for Islamic Studies at University of Bologna, Italian Republic.
Commending the event, Dr. Ab Al-Khail has stated that, Al-Imam University, which is basically focus on Islamic and Arabic sciences, is proud to collaborate with University of Bologna and their great interest in Islamic studies. In the words, Dr. Aba Al-Khail delivered, on the inauguration occasion, he noted that Saudi Arabian Kingdom and Italian Republic are celebrating the joint commitment to encourage educational and cultural exchanges, and deepen the knowledge and mutual understanding, and dissemination of cooperation, dialogue and openness values.
He furthered by thanking the due care being received from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and H.R.H. Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy of Crown Prince and Minister of Defence.
It should be noted that, King Abdulaziz Research Chair, which is an extension to King Abdulaziz’ s Centre which was established by the university with the support of H.R.H. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, May Allah Almighty Rest Him in Peace, is officially be linked to Al-Imam University. It focus mainly on the scientific and research concerns about a number of topics that serve the Arab and Islamic Studies such as Islamic law, human rights in Islam and scientific-Islamic monuments in Italy. As well as the spread of the Arabic language and methods of teaching it in Italy beside the relation between both languages Arabic and Italian, their affect and effect.
