​Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has inaugurated on the morning of the last Wednesday at Sheikh Al-Twaijri Hall the closing ceremony of the sixth version of Research Excellence Award as well as the third version of International Publishing Program.

The ceremony was launched by a word of Prof. Dr. Fahd Al-Asker, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and academic Research, and who doubles as Head of Research Excellence Award committee, where he pointed out that, Al-Imam University has  always keeping pace with the academic research developments, in a response to the directives of Saudi wised Government. “The award has contributed in stimulus the academic research filed within the university, as a number of faculty staff has submitted their researches during the current version”, added he.

 
From his side, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Moqbel, Dean of Academic Research, has stated that, the award considered as a stimulus for innovation and excellence in academic research. He then announced the winners of the award, whom including Dr. Nasser Al-Wada’ni for his research “Converting of Mustahabb and Wājib from its Nature – Inductive Study”, which published inside the university, and Dr. Abdul-Lateef Al-Hussain for his research “Concept of Anger in Islam – Cultural Study” and Dr. Muhammad Al-Suhaibani for his research “Zakat of Index Funds”, which published outside the university.

In similar vein, Dr. Raad Al-Turki, Vice-Dean of Academic Research Deanship for Cultural Affairs, has clarified that, 56 researchers with nearly 140 researches have gained this year incentives of international publishing, which reach SR 855, 000.

Speaking to the audience, Al-Imam University Acting Rector has congratulated all winners and researchers and prayed Allah Almighty for them. He, at the end of the ceremony, has handed out awards and commemorative shields to the winners.
