​Numerous decisions had deeply discussed and adopted by members of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Council in their second regular session of the university year 1437-1438 H, which winded up recently, which had chaired by H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council.

On the decisions taken by the council’s members, Dr. Muhammad Said Al-Alam, Vice-Rector for Knowledge Exchange and International Collaboration and Acting Secretary-General of Al-Imam University Council, has stated that, six faculty members were granted sabbatical leaves, and two members were postponed their leaves, in addition to dispatching four members to work at Arab-Islamic Institute at Indonesia. Moreover, Dr. Wafa Al-Sabiel has nominated for the membership of Council of College of Arabic Language, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad has nominated for the Academic Council representing College of Fundamentals of Religion, and two additional members have nominated for the Council of College of Fundamentals of Religion. Likewise, Dr. Saad Al Saud has re-nominated for the Academic Council representing College of Media and Mass Communication, and two members have assigned to work outside the university, Dr. Saud Al-Shemari has relocated to work at University of Hail, and Dr. Saud Al-Seba’ie has recruited to work at College of Language and Translation. Lastly, the council has decided cancellation of scholarship of Demonstrator Usama Al-Dowsari of College of Language and Translation and approving the early retirement of a number of members.

On the educational and organizational aspects, Dr. Al-Alam has revealed that, the council has approved the establishment of Kindergarten Department at College of Social Sciences, and approved the assignment of Dr. Yusuf Al-Radyean as a Financial Controller, approved the Report of Academic Performance Indicators of the university. In a similar vein, the council has passed the Regulation of Protecting Scientific Integrity, and has reshuffled Council of Volunteering Work Studies Centre and has recommend changing its name to Deanship of Volunteering Work.

On the international collaboration, Dr. Al-Alam has unveiled that, the council has approved the MoU with Kyrgyzstan International University and five additional religious and educational institutions at Mali.

Finally, the council have agreed the remarks of General Auditing Bureau on the final financial statement of the university for 1436-1437 H and has agreed the financial payment regulation of Deanship of eLearning and Distance Education, and has accepted the donation of benefactor for the Student Fund.
