On the last Wednesday, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has chaired a meeting of the higher committee of the International Conference on History of King Abdulaziz Al-Saud (the founder of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), which will be organizing by Al-Imam University on the next November 2014.
Shedding lights on the conference, H.E. the university rector has stated that, the bold gathering will focused on the biography of the founder king Abdulaziz bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Saud – May his soul rest in peace. “According to the key deliverables of the previous conference’s version, the royal approval has issued to go ahead with the second version in tandem with King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives”, pointed out he.
On the conference goals, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has stated, it aims to provide a historical and up-to-dated studies about the history of King Abdulaziz, besides brightening his extraordinary character and biography. Additionally, it aims to highlight his royal role regionally, islamically and internationally, and to identify the features of the modernized shift in the Kingdom during his era.
“The conference will be participated by many scholars, researchers and intellectuals from all around the world, and it will be accompanied by variety events, and distinct programs, and scientific seminars, forums and workshops”, added he.
At the end of the meeting, the attendants were have a look over the report issued by the secretariat of the conference, as well as briefed by Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Information Technology and Community Service, and how doubles as the chairperson the organizing committee of the conference.
