 Social Science College Arranges Extremism Forum

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hulail, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Female Students’ Affairs, has chaired lastly a meeting focusing on the enhancement of the administrative structuring of the female student study centre.

The meeting, which was attended by Dr. Omar Al-Ajlan, Dean of Female Student Study Centre, and a number of the vice-deans, has discussed deeply the initial organizational structure of King Abdullah City for Female Students. Dr. Al-Hulail has reaffirmed that, the fruitful deliverables of the current and previous meetings have clinched signific​ College of Social Sciences of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has arranged lastly the first forum for students of the university about the extremism, with the participation of a pool of the college’s top academic and executive officials.

Inaugurating the gathering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Twaijri, Dean of the College, has welcomed all the audience and clarified that, the forum is intending to shed lights on the extremism and its dangerous consequences on both the community and the homeland. He called on all students to sign on the physical memorial log at the lobby of the college, which condemns extremism in all its types.

In the significance with the forum, Prof. Dr. Saleh Abo Abbah has pointed out that, the natural and logical outcome of extremism is terrorism and it actually reflects on the mental, emotional, and behavioural levels.  Reasons lead to extremism including negligence the family for their children, and random places gatherings among young people, and weak absorption of youth’s capacities, added he.

From other side, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mogheim and Dr. Muhammad Al-Motw’a have both warned about the dangerous of drifting behind the suspicious social media platforms that calls for extremism.

It is worth mentioning that, the forum has accompanied by awareness exhibition and workshops participated by the college’s students.
