Lastly, Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has presided the meeting of the higher committee of “Social Media Tools: Applications and Methodological Challenges.

Speaking to the audience, Dr. Al-Fawzan has made reference to the importance of social media, new media, and its role in societies, and ways of positive employment thereof. He stated that, the conference aims, among others, to: identify the uses of social media and new media in the Saudi community, identify the legal and regulatory dimensions of the uses of social media and new media, discuss the cultural, social, economic, political and security influences of the means of social media and new media.

He, in furtherance, called all members of the conference to exert their devoted tasks to bring success and determination to the conference aims and works.
