Wised decision and braved standings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, towards people of Republic of Yemen and the kicking-off of “Firmness Storm” to deliverance them has widely commending by members of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Council during their sixth regular session which winded-up recently. Meeting of the council has chaired by Dr. Fawzan Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam University.
Dr. Al-Fawzan has announced the readiness of Al-Imam University to support King’s decision with its every available potential, and all members of the university are willing to discharge their duties and responsibilities.
On the agenda of the meeting, a number of decisions have been adopted by the council’s members. Numbers of prospective admitted students on the next academic year has been raised and eight postgraduate students were accepted. In respect of faculty members Dr. Khaled Hamid has nominated as representative of Supreme Jurisdiction Institute at Academic Council, and Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Gabba’ has renewed at Academic Council as representative of Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Lateefa Al-Jalaood has renewed her membership at council of College of Fundamentals of Religion, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Mubazar has nominated for the membership of Council of Deanship of Higher Studies. As well, three faculty members were temporary assigned to work outside, and four faculty members were seconding to work outside the university, and a special premium has been approved for Dr. Farida Gahiash, and Demonstator Lama Al-Tuaimah has re-located to Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University, and Dr. Samy Al-Shuarikh has retired upon his own request.
In similar vein, members of the council have approved the designing of council of Deanship of Affairs of Institutes’ Abroad, and designing of council of Saudi Centre of Drug Prevention Studies, and the approval of MoU with Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Lastly, the university council had accepted the donation of a lot of books to the central library at the university campus.
