​​On the afternoon of the last Monday, sessions of conference "Social Media Tools  ... Applications and Methodological Challenges", which organizing by College of Media and Communication of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University at Madareem Crown Hotel, Riyadh.

The first session, which chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Refai, Dean of College of Media and Communication, has discussed deeply the relationship between the tradition media and Social Media Tools. Many speakers addressed the audience including Dr. Muhammad Al-Sawaid, about (Uses of Saudi Youth of Tweeter), and Dr. Abbas Saddiq, about (News Production between traditional and new media), and Dr. Jallal Al-Sheikh, about (Relationship between traditional media and social media tools), and Dr. Hossani Nasser, about (Trends of search and theory on new media tools and social websites). The session has concluded by a paper from Mr. Said Al-Zahrani, Demonstrator at Press Dept, College of Media and Communication, entitled (consecutive acceleration in the electronic communication environment - social media model), beside handing out a honorary shield for participants, consisting of the cover of first press interview with late King Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

The second session, which was head by Dr. Fayez Al-Shehry, Member of Saudi Shoura Council, has centred on the methodological challenges in social media tools' studies. Speakers at the session has included Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdul-Barri, in his paper about (New Methods and Research Curriculums on studies of social media tools), and Dr. Al-Said Bakheet, in his paper about (Methodological and Theoretical Challenges of researches of social media tools), and Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Rami, in his paper about (Methodological Challenges of studies of social media websites), and Dr. Maha Abdul-Majeed, in her paper about (Methodological Challenges of studies of applications of social media). In similar vein, Prof. Dr. Thurya Al-Baddaoi in her paper about (Methodological and theory handling of participation of end-user in digital world).
