Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in tandem with Sheikh Fahd Al-Muqil Research Chair for Commercial Studies has launched recently a penal of discussion entitled “Real Estate Speculations and Contributions, and its Relevance to Business”. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, has addressed the gathering, where he highlighted the appreciable role of research chairs within the university and its contributions to enrich the academical and research deliverables.
In respect of the themes and topics discussed during the PD, three key topics were deeply discuss including “Conditioning Real Estate Speculations and Contributions in general”, “Real Estate Speculations and Contributions in Saudi Regulations”, and “Law Criterions to Issue Real Estate Speculations and Contributions”.
As well, a number of recommendations were approve by the PD, including but not limited to, jurisdiction of real estate issues are lifted to courts only; disputes concerning the self-contribution is appertain to commercial courts; and jurisdiction of committee of real estate contributions is not contradicted with the jurisdiction of Sharia courts. Lastly the new royal decrees and regulations are addressed the problems of bad real estate speculations and contributions.
From other side, Dr. Muhammad Al-Lehidan, Principal of Sheikh Fahd Al-Muqil Research Chair for Commercial Studies, and Professor of Comparative Fiqh, has provided a brief about the research chair program at the university.
