 Al-Imam Rector Inaugurates Medan New LIPIA Branch

​Upon the kind royal approval of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has opened recently a new branch of LIPIA, Islamic-Arabic Sciences Institute at Indonesia, Medan City, the capital of Indonesia’s North Sumatra province.

Commending the step, H.E. the university Rector has pointed out that, the last visit of King Salman to Indonesia has reflected the deep mutual respect feelings between Saudi and Indonesian people, that is why there is a historic and strategic relations are existing.

“The qualitative presence of Al-Imam University at Indonesia is a fruitful output of the visit of King Salman, which additionally emerged in founding many other contributions and events that would absolutely serve the Islamic and Arabic sciences. The establishment of this branch of LIPIA, among the two other branches of this institute, will solely to provide the opportunity for Indonesian Muslim youths to deepen the Islamic sciences and Arabic. With the opening of new branches of LIPIA in three regions in Indonesia, LIPIA will be educating more and more Indonesian clerics”, said Dr. Aba Al-Khail.

In a similar vein, Eng. Al-Haj Netekoa, Governor of North Sumatra Province and Medan City, has appreciated H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, for his presence in inaugurating LIPIA new branch. He conveyed the greetings of Indonesian President to the Saudi government for its efforts to increase the proportion of Indonesian pilgrims. He said that, we will work together to arrange competitions for the memorization of the Quran. Additionally, has was energetically interact with the request of Al-Imam University to allocate a land area of 30 thousand square meters for the construction building of the new branch. He expressed his readiness to meet all the needs of the new branch of the institute.

It is worth to mention that, at the end of the reception ceremony, which was attended by H.E. Mr. Osama Al-Shua’ibi, Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has received a souvenir from Governor of North Sumatra Province and Medan City.
