 Dr. Al-Jandal Receives Pal Alto Networks EMEA VP

​Dr. Waleed Abdulaziz Al-Jandal, Dean of Deanship of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Information Technology, has received at his office lastly Mr. Christian Hentschel, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa “EMEA”, Palo Alto Networks.

In significance with the meeting, Mr. Hentschel has voiced his appreciation to Dr. Al-Jandal for giving Palo Alto Networks an opportunity to offer its services and experiences in securing and protecting the information data of Al-Imam University. He noted that, his company has architected a special information security platform protects the digital way of life by safely enabling applications and preventing known and unknown threats across the network, cloud, and endpoints.

From his side, Dr. Al-Jandal has thanked Mr. Hentschel for the visit. He convoyed to him the ambitious of the Deanship of Information Technology is to realise its vision to transform the university into a smart one. It’s not just a minor action, to be taken, but rather a huge coordinating and integrating operations to be exerting, added he. He revealed that, his administration is currently analyzing one of the solutions of Palo Alto Networks to be implementing in the university in the days ahead.

At the end of reception meeting, Dr. Al-Jandal has praised the efforts of H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, whom paying always attentions to bring success to the deanship’s projects and plans.

It should be noted that, Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is a network and enterprise security company based in Santa Clara, California. The company’s core products are a platform that includes advanced firewalls designed to provide network security, visibility and granular control of network activity based on application, user, and content identification and cloud-based.
