On the last Wednesday, Dr. Waleed Al-Jandal, Acting Dean of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Deanship of Information Technology, has launched at his office here “Information Security Awareness Project”, a project that aims to educate and enlighten the university end users with the risks and threats that targeting information and data.
In his word in coincidence with the launching ceremony, Dr. Al-Jandal has clarified that, the project contains numbers of security tips to protect the end-user information and data. “A responsive website contains of twelve topics each has five audio videos in both Arabic and English languages, end-user can after streaming it enter prescribed exam and earns authenticated certificate from IT Deanship, email correspondences, screen savers, pamphlets and flyers, in addition to booklets are all within the project’s ingredients”, said Dr. Al-Jandal.
At the end of the launching ceremony, Dr. Al-Jandal has presented a souvenir to Eng. Ali Al-Qarni, Manager of Information Security Administration, for his bold contribution and efforts that helps Al-Imam University to earn a number of authenticated and approved international certificates. Dr. Al-Jandal has, likewise, extended his appreciation to the endless support and contribution of Dr. Fawzan Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam University.
