 Al-Imam University Sings MoU with GDP

On the last days, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, representing by its Deanship of eLearning and Distance Education, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with General Directorate for Prisons “GDP” on the developing of educational and training process for the sake of women and men prisoners affiliated with the distance education program of the university.

Commending the collaboration steps, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Al-Hamzi, Director General of GDP, has stated that, the signed MoU between his administration and Al-Imam University will definitely consider a positive factor for rebuilding prisoners and opening new life horizons for them.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Amer, Dean of eLearning and Distance Education Deanship, who has paid a visit recently, accompanied with some dignitaries of his administration, to GDP headquarters, has stated that, his administration is well recognize the need for positive construction of the person so as to contribute actively in his homeland and community activities. “Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University among the first universities to unleash the cooperation horizons with the governmental agencies” added he.

The meeting with GDP officials has included the discussion on the steering of the educational, academical and training areas between both parties, as well as preparations of the exams’ centres for prisoners during the next university semester.     ​
