 In cooperation with the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, the Skills Development Center concludes the “Psychological First Aid"Program

​      The Skills Development Center at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University concluded today, Wednesday, 7/1/2026, the “Psychological First Aid" program, which was held in cooperation with the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, with the participation of (33) male and female trainees from the Security and Safety Department and the Deanship of Student Affairs.

     The program lasted for two days and was delivered by trainer Dr. Moataz Al-Otaibi. It focused on developing participants' skills in providing psychological first aid and raising awareness of effective and professional methods for dealing with psychological emergencies, thereby enhancing their readiness in educational and service environments.

      In this regard, the Head of the University's Skills Development Center, Dr. Khalid M Al-Qudhaibi, affirmed that the implementation of this program is part of the Center's plans aimed at developing the skills of university staff and enhancing their psychological and professional competencies, contributing to the support of the security and safety system and the achievement of a supportive and safe university environment.

      The program addressed a number of specialized applied topics, including the concepts of psychological first aid, mechanisms for rapid response to emergency cases, effective communication skills in crises, as well as methods for dealing with individuals affected by stress and psychological trauma.

     The implementation of this program comes as part of the Skills Development Center's efforts to develop the competencies of university staff and strengthen partnerships with specialized national entities, in pursuit of a healthy and safe university environment, and as an extension of the university's role in supporting social responsibility and enhancing the quality of institutional performance.
