Recently, Saudi Centre for Narcotic Drugs Control and Psychotropic Substances Studies "Haseen", in collaboration with Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, has arranged a training course entitled “Drug phenomenon and ways to protect society from it" for nearly 70 preachers and khateebs.
In coincidence with the training course, Dr. Saeed Al-Sariah has lectured the first session on concepts and procedural terms of drugs and the difference between abuse and drug addiction, and the types of psychotropic substances, and on the causes and features of abuse.
In a similar vein, Dr. Sami Al-Hamoud has lectured the second sessions on the efforts of Saudi Arabia in drugs control and the common mistakes in drug prevention, and the relationship between growth and drug characteristics, and recent trends in demand reduction, and the role of imams in the protection of society from drugs.
It is noteworthy that, the training course has arranged at the Rounding Hall at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Campus.
