 Al-Imam Quality Vice-Rector Meets with Colleges’ Deans

Dr. Abdullah Al-Samel, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Planning, Development and Quality has met recently, in the presence of Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Asmari, Dean of Assessment and Quality, with all deans of the university's colleges and higher institutes.

Inaugurating the meeting, Dr. Al-Samel has praised the continuous support been received from H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, to the quality and development works inside the university. He urged all academic units of the university to do their utmost in cooperating with the Deanship of Assessment and Quality and to exert more efforts to fulfil the quality's requirements.

In a similar vein, Dr. Al-Mahmoud has gave a word, where he acknowledged the exerting efforts and contributions of all dignitaries of the university to assure the quality of the educational programs and improving its deliverables in accordance with the needs of the Saudi labour marketplace.

Following that, Dr. Al-Asmari has gave a detailed statement about the key cornerstones of the quality and its requirements. He clarified how to close the quality circle at the colleges and higher institutes and the appropriate academic methodologies in dealing with the requirements and the academic accreditation, before the visit of the external auditors of the institutional accreditation project. He enlightened the audience about the remaining requirements to fulfil the accreditation requirements and the achievements ratios for each and every unit, according to the performance indicators.

At the end of the meeting, Q & A session has arranged to discuss obstacles that facing the academical units of the university to complete the fourth criteria, i.e. Education and Learning. A number of recommendations has taken to complete the remaining works during the next two weeks starting from the date of the meeting, and then forwarding it to the Higher Committee of Quality and Academic Accreditation heading by H.E. the University Rector.
