On the recent days, team of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Special Needs athletes has shared success while participating at the eighth version of Saudi Universities Sport Federation "SUSF" competitions, which has took place at King Faisal University at El-Ahsa, Eastern Region.
In the sidelines of the competitions, Al-Imam team has earned the second place in the Long Jump for the blinds, and the second place at Javelin for the blinds. As well, the university special needs team has participated at Goalball game, which designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment, and achieved the fourth place.
In a similar vein, the university special needs athletes' team has participated in Athletics in Running 400 M and 200 M competitions for blinds, and in Throw Disc, Shot Put, Long Jump, and Javelin competitions for blinds. Additionally, the team has participated in Wheelchair Racing 200 M competition.
It is worth to mention that, the participation of the university special needs athletes' team in SUSF competitions is come in line with the role of Deanship of Students' Affairs – Centre of Special Needs Services to fulfil its mission according to the directives of Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council.
