​On the last Wednesday morning, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Ameri, Rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has inked with Maj. Gen. Abdul-Hadi Al-Shehry, Commanding General of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Command and General Staff College (CGSC) of Saudi Arabian National Guard a memorandum of understanding "MoU" in the presence of a number of university and CGSC dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. the University Rector has noted to the need to convert all that comes in the signed MoU to programs and activities so as to advance this cooperation. "Inked MoU opens a field for cooperation in the education, training, academic research and cultural activities areas. There's no doubt it would be very beneficial to both sides, as ​Imam University will be good listener to what CGSC require including services provided", added Dr. Al-Ameri.

From his side, Maj. Gen. Al-Shehry has praised H.E. the university Rector for the warm reception and hospitality. He revealed that, CGSC is a modern college offers Master's degree in military science for officers with advanced ranks and this is the first program and there will be another programs for elite graduates who join the advanced military studies program. CGSC also offers Master's degree in military planning, as well as leadership courses.

In furtherance, he emphasized that CGSC depends on two basic tracks, which are educational and scientific, and that is why the Deanship of Academic Research founded there.
