King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has recently gave his approval for the King Abdullah Institute for Translation and Arabization, affiliated to Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, to arrange and organize the XIII Conference of Arabization, in tandem with the Arabization Office of the Arab League Education, Culture and Science Organization “ALECSO”.
Lauding the King’s approval, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has noted to the importance of translation and Arabization in achieving communication between peoples, civilizations and academic advances. He said that, the conference aims to take advantage of domestic and international experiences in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 in regard with promotion of Islamic values and national identity through focusing on Arabic language and increasing employment rates by developing human capital in line with the needs of the labor market and improving education deliverables and expanding training to contribute in realizing the higher education vision.
Continued his words, H.E. the university Rector has said that, this conference represents Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and seeks to highlight the honorable image of the Kingdom in the field of translation and Arabization. He pointed out that, the activities of the conference are characterized by presenting and discussing an Arab plan to coordinate Arabization, and provide a package of researches and studies carried out by experts in linguistic and terminological research and translation, in addition to discuss a number of lexicological projects.
