​​H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Ameri, Rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has inked recently at his office here a Memorandum of Understanding “MoU" with Mr. Emad Saleh Al-Kharashi, Governor of Saudi General Authority of Awqaf, i.e. Endowments, in the presence of a number of notable officers from both the university and Awqaf Authority.

In statements while signature ceremony, H.E. the University Rector has revealed that, endowments in Saudi universities have become an imperative necessity to secure their resources and to develop educational endowments including revenues and investments. It helps also in realizing Government orientations to the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 and the new universities' regulation.

On the inked MoU's objectives, H.E. the University Rector has stated that, it will contribute in achieving visions and aspirations to enable ​Imam University's endowments for governance its processes and control its procedures. As well, helping in forming the Board of Trustees in accordance with the legal and national standards to improve its performance and its infrastructure as planned in the university new organizational structure.

Dr. Al-Ameri has further noted that, the General Authority of Awqaf represent the economic role that would achieve endowment frameworks according to the legal regulations and developing the university endowments' performance to be one of the most important national economic resources.

From his side, Mr. Al-Kharashi has reaffirmed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the Authority and Saudi universities in achieving the growth and prosperity of universities' endowments, praising the signed MoU on the development of organizational and investment aspects of the university's endowments.
