INTRODUCTION:
The seventh development plan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia included clear expectations of stature of information technology concerning national issues.
Objectives stated on prepare a national vision to invest in the development of manpower to deal with modern technologies internationally.
Technology is important to display the role of universities locally and internationally at this time.
FOUNDATION:
Board of Higher Education Issued a decision No. 1429/51/29 AH At its fifty-first session Held on 18/10/1429 AH establishing the Deanship of Information Technology at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) with generous approval and guidance, No. 963 / M / B of 3/2/1430 AH.
The notification was the letter by the Minister of Higher Education No. 335 / A, dated 8/2/1430 AH ‘’The Deanship of Information Technology was opened’’.

The Deanship of Information Technology, even if it is emerging, Take on a responsibility to apply technology at the university according to international quality standards.
The achievements of the strategic plan of the university's general projects were recorded, the most important are:
• Renovation of the computer infrastructure.
• Banner system upgrade to the eighth version.
• Developing departments' staff
• Providing free wireless internet.
• Implementing technical development programs for faculty members.
• The first Information Technology Forum for Saudi Universities, Challenges and Expectations, was held, sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz.
• Designing a mobile application project, to include all university systems.
Today, the Deanship of Information Technology is documenting its record of achievements. We ask Allah for success.
