​With a view to apply the corporate governance initiatives management that include operational work mechanisms in project management and the executive work of managing initiatives to realize the Saudi Vision 2030, and based on the keenness of the university to institutional excellence for realizing Saudi Vision 2030, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council and Chairman of Transformation Program, has issued recently an administrative resolution on the establishment of Initiatives Management Office.

In significance with H.E. the university Rector's resolution, the established office will help managing the operational tasks that include ensuring the achievement of the objectives of the authorized entity, and managing and measuring its performance, and participating in the preparation of the initiatives budget within the draft budget of the entity and negotiating it with the relevant authorities in coordination with the Office of Realizing the Vision. Moreover, overseeing  crafting, executing and re-assessing the initiatives of entity and prioritizing its implementation and adapting with its goals, and recommending the assessment and re-assessment of initiatives, and follow-up planning, implementation and closure of projects with the owner entities according to the certified project management methodology approved by the Office of the realizing the vision.

In furtherance with the resolution, H.E. the University Rector has gave directives to link the established office directly with Dr. Mahmoud Suliman Al-Mahmoud, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and Academic Research, and Vice-Chairman of Transformation Program. Dr. Aba Al-Khail has directed also for the appointment of Dr. Mohammad Abdulaziz Al-Mansour, Faculty Staff Member at College of Economics and Administrative Sciences, as a Head of the Initiatives Management Office.
