 Through 14 Research Papers, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Participates in the Third Edition of the “JISR” Forum to Support Defense Research and Development.

​​     Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University participated on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the third edition of the “JISR" Forum, organized by the General Authority for Defense Development at the Fairmont Riyadh Hotel, with the participation of more than 20 Saudi universities.

 


     This year, the University participated through 14 researchers from its faculty and staff, presenting specialized research papers and projects in advanced technical and defense-related fields.

 


     The University's participation reflects its ongoing role in supporting scientific research and innovation, while strengthening its national contributions in specialized technological fields through research projects aligned with the objectives of the defense development sector. These efforts also contribute to building research partnerships that support the localization of advanced technologies and the development of innovative solutions serving strategic sectors.

 


     The “JISR" Forum aims to enhance integration between the academic and industrial sectors and transform research outputs into technological solutions that support the defense sector and align with its priorities. The forum brings together a distinguished group of researchers, specialists, experts, and relevant entities to align research, development, and innovation outputs with the actual needs of the defense sector and support the Kingdom's goals in developing and localizing advanced technologies.

 


     The research contributions presented by the University's researchers covered several advanced fields related to modern defense technologies, electronic warfare, artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and smart radar technologies. The projects included research on developing ultra-precision radar systems and advanced technologies for tracking multiple targets in radar systems.

 


     The contributions also addressed several topics related to electronic warfare and intelligent systems, including modern technologies for developing jamming systems, as well as specialized research on AI-based adaptive jamming strategies for electronic warfare and reinforcement learning applications to counter jamming in smart environments.

 


     The research papers further included the development of advanced technological solutions in unmanned systems, in addition to models for optimizing radar system planning based on multi-criteria artificial intelligence standards.

 


     In the field of advanced radar and communication technologies, the University's researchers presented projects on the design of multifunction radar systems, advanced sensor data fusion algorithms, diverse-frequency array radar systems, and deep learning techniques used for anti-jamming and enhancing radar detection capabilities.


 

     The research contributions also covered specialized topics in antenna and radio frequency technologies, including the design of advanced waveguide power dividers, the development of radio frequency front-end arrays for wireless and radar applications, as well as research on smart antennas and their modern applications.
