 Under the Patronage of the Spouse of the Governor of Riyadh Region, IMSIU Celebrates the Graduation of Its 70th Cohort of Distinguished Female Students.

     Under the patronage of HRH Princess Noura bint Mohammed Al Saud, spouse of the Governor of Riyadh Region, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the graduation of the 70th cohort of distinguished female students for the academic year 2025-2026. The ceremony was held at the Grand Hall in the Conference Building at King Abdullah City for Female Students, in the presence of several academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, and graduates’ families.


     The ceremony commenced with the Saudi national anthem, followed by verses from the Holy Qur’an. The graduates then proceeded in a ceremonial march reflecting feelings of pride and appreciation for their academic achievements and excellence throughout their university journey.


     A graduate representative then delivered the graduates’ speech, expressing gratitude and pride on this occasion. She emphasized that these accomplishments and successes were achieved by the grace of Allah and through the support and care provided by their families and the University, as well as the motivating academic environment that contributed to preparing qualified national talents capable of serving the nation and contributing to its development journey.


     Following that, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, Dr. Lamia H. Alaqeel, delivered the speech of the Vice President for Institutional Development and Community Responsibility, Dr. Khulood F. Al-Tamimi. In the speech, she affirmed that the University’s celebration of the graduates of the 70th cohort reflects the significant support and attention given by the wise leadership to the education sector and the empowerment of Saudi women. She noted that Saudi women have become active partners in shaping the future and contributing to national development.


     Dr. Alaqeel added that the University continues to strengthen its academic and scientific presence through distinguished achievements in academic accreditation, scientific research, institutional excellence, and community service. She noted that the academic accreditation rate of the University’s programs has exceeded 80% of all programs, in addition to qualifying more than 14,815 male and female students to obtain professional certifications, while the employment rate of bachelor’s degree graduates reached approximately 70%.


     She also explained that the University continues to maintain its leading position in international rankings and achieve notable progress in scientific research and academic performance, in addition to its community role through distinguished volunteer initiatives and programs that enhance its developmental and humanitarian impact.


     The ceremony also featured the operetta “Caravans of Glory,” which embodied the journey of ambition and achievement, along with a visual presentation titled “A Graduate’s Feelings,” in which the graduates expressed their pride and gratitude on this occasion. Distinguished graduates from various colleges and disciplines were also honored during the ceremony.


     The ceremony concluded in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the University’s pride in its graduates and their role in supporting the national development journey as qualified national talents contributing to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
