Recently, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening the academic bonds with Al-Azhar University, the oldest degree-granting university in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
Commending the signed MoU, H.E. the university rector has pointed that, both Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Al-Azhar University are as a two eyes in the top one as they together working on the propagation of Islamic religion "Sharia" according to the Glorious Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.
He extended his appreciation, thanks to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, and by Deputy Crown H.R.H. Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz, for their ample and continuous support to Islam and Muslims all around the world.
From his side, Dr. Osama Al-Abd, President of Al-Azhar University, has lauded the signed MoU with Al-Imam University and further extended his thanks to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, for his brave standing with Egypt lastly tribulation, especially with Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and president of Al-Azhar University.
"Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Al-Azhar University are two large higher institutes that credits for centrism and moderation in Islam, which should be disseminating all over the Islamic world, that's why the signed MoU with great importance", added Dr. Al-Abd.
It is worth mentioning that, the inked MoU is intends to cement the academical cooperation between both universities including the exchange of faculty members and students, share knowledge resources, and participating in conferences and symposiums that organized by each of them.
