The Applied College at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University strengthens the pathway of applied education by offering a range of intermediate diploma programs designed to meet the needs of the Saudi labor market and to prepare qualified national cadres with practical knowledge and hands-on experience that contribute to human capital development and support the national economy, within an accredited academic and regulatory framework of the University.

The intermediate diploma programs at the Applied College, which extend over two years, focus on practical and skills-based training to ensure graduates' readiness for direct entry into the labor market or for continuing their academic pathways in accordance with approved regulations. These programs are delivered in a motivating educational environment that adheres to quality standards and academic excellence, with English adopted as a core component across all diploma programs.

The intermediate diplomas include specializations in computing, engineering, and administrative and financial sciences, such as Financial Management, Accounting, Business Administration, and Human Resource Management, as well as a diploma in Tourism and Travel. In addition, they offer technical and digital tracks covering Cybersecurity, Programming Technology, Network Technology, Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Electronic Game Design and Programming, alongside engineering tracks that include Energy Engineering, Applied Chemical Engineering, Applied Mechanical Engineering, and Control and Automation Engineering Technology.

These programs are distinguished by their linkage to obtaining locally and internationally accredited professional certifications during the period of study, with a strong emphasis on intensive practical training and field training in cooperation with specialized entities and companies. This enhances the quality of educational outcomes and increases graduates' employability in line with the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations and the National Qualifications Framework.

Furthermore, the Applied College adopts a progressive academic pathway in its intermediate diploma programs, beginning with foundational skills and common courses, followed by specialized courses, and culminating in a graduation project and field training. Exit points are also available, enabling students to enter the labor market or continue professional qualification according to the nature of each program.

The intermediate diploma programs at the Applied College contribute to fulfilling the University's mission of serving the community by preparing graduates who possess directly employable technical and professional skills, strong English proficiency and communication skills, and professional certifications that support their employment opportunities and align with the objectives of sustainable national development and Saudi Vision 2030.
