IMSIU, represented by the Deanship of Information Technology and E-Learning, signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with the National Center for E-Learning. The agreement aims to provide training programs leading to professional certifications in the field of e-learning and digital training.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by the Dean of the Deanship of Information Technology and E-Learning, Dr. Sultan S. Al-Qahtani, while the National Center for E-Learning was represented by the Deputy Director General for the Empowerment Sector, Dr. Hajar S. bin Asfour.
The agreement enables the University to operate and offer a number of accredited professional certifications, including the Professional Certificate in Online Teaching and Training (OTT), the Professional Certificate in e-Learning Experience Design (eLXD), and the Professional Certificate in e-Learning Quality Assurance (eLQA). These certifications align with the latest standards and best practices in the field of e-learning.
The agreement also aims to enhance the competencies of e-learning practitioners, improve the quality of training outcomes, and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive digital learning experience that meets the highest quality standards, thereby strengthening the effectiveness of the educational process in online environments.
Both parties emphasized that this agreement forms part of ongoing efforts to develop the e-learning ecosystem in the Kingdom, strengthen integration among national institutions, and empower national competencies to acquire advanced knowledge and practical skills aligned with labor market needs and sustainable educational development pathways.
