 Rector Oversees Contributions of Saudi Academic Research Study

​H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has discussed recently here the latest updates of the research team of “Study of Contributions of Academic Research in Saudi Arabian Kingdom in Confronting Overstatement and Extremism”.

In coincidence with the event, H.E. the university Rector has welcomed all the members of the team and reaffirmed the importance of the study, as an energetic reflection of the university’s contribution to confronting extremism and terrorism throughout its programs and studies arranged. Al-Imam University has a pioneering role in confronting such negative stereotypes and serving Islam, which is strictly prohibiting and denouncing radicalism and extremism, and shedding the blood of innocent people and the depletion of the rewards of the nation and scattering its wealth, added he.

In a similar vein, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has urged all members of the study team to do their utmost to bring success and determination to the deliverables of the study.

From other side, Dr. Fahd Al-Asker, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and academic Research, and Vice-President of Research Chair Program, has pointed out that, the study is comes in line with efforts being paid by the university to develop and craft a blueprint and vision to combat extremism and terrorism. In the same line, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mayman, Vice-Rector for Sharia Institute’s Affairs, and Supervisor of Intellectual Awareness Unit, has clarified that, the university has successfully accomplished the goals behind the second forum of Intellectual Awareness, which organized by the university in the last weeks.

At the end of the enlightening meeting, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has being kept abreast about the methodology plan of the study by the principal research Prof. Dr. Abdul-Rahman Asiri.
